Chelsea Foreman - Jazz singer

About

Chelsea Foreman, a Dutch jazz singer with English roots, studied for her Bachelor of Music at the Tilburg conservatory and graduated in December 2012. She then continued to study for her Master of Music and graduated in June 2016.

Music has always been a big part of her life in all sorts of ways, but the conservatory gave her the opportunity to find out her purpose as a singer.

After a long period of searching and many different styles of music, she finally discovered her own true voice and sound, inspired by great artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Norah Jones, Kandace Springs, Lianne La Havas and Gregory Porter.

Chelsea has developed a particular musical style which could be discribed as pure and raw in it’s own way. Her voice is her trademark, as it is warm and distinctive with it’s colours, raw edges and exciting inflections.

Jazz is her first and true love, but she also loves to combine that with soul, blues and pop music. In that way, she can turn every song into her own.
